Indiana State Tops Missouri State in Women's Soccer

The Missouri State women's soccer team dropped its second Missouri Valley Conference game of the season in a 2-1
decision Friday to Indiana State at Plaster Field. The Bears offensively outplayed the Sycamores taking 24 shots to ISU's

The Bears lone goal was scored by senior Angela Parsons in the 51st minute of the game. Parsons blasted a powerful
shot off a free kick over Indiana State's goalkeeper, Rachel Rudzis. The goal tied the match at 1-1 and marked Parson's first
score of the season.

The Sycamores put their first goal of the game on the board at 14:28 as a free kick by Callie McDonough found Marie
Dyas who headed the ball into the right corner of the net after it bounced off MSU goalkeeper Jackie Jasper's fingertips.

In the 67th minute of the game, Rudzis booted the ball past the Bears' defensive line to Sycamores' Lauren Podolski who
found herself one-on-one with Jasper and kicked the ball with her left foot into the right corner to score what proved to be
the game-winner. Goalkeeper Rudzis picked up her first assist on the season.
