Missouri State's Jones Honored by MVC
Missouri Valley Conference Commissioner Doug Elgin announced today that Jeni Jones, associate head women’s volleyball coach at Missouri State University, has been selected as one of the 2011-12 recipients of the league’s Most Courageous Award.

Southern Illinois Names Ingram Head Volleyball Coach
Southern Illinois announced the hiring of Justin Ingram as head coach of Saluki women's volleyball. The seventh coach in Saluki volleyball history, Ingram brings 13 years of Division I coaching experience to Carbondale. He spent the last three years as the head coach at Arkansas State, where he led the Red Wolves to an overall record of 60-33.

Payton Earns Second-Team All-American
UNI's Bre Payton and Krista DeGeest were named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division I All-America Teams for women's volleyball. Payton earned second-team honors for the second straight season, while DeGeest was named honorable mention.

Four Valley Student Athletes Named to AVCA All-Region Team
Four Missouri Valley Conference volleyball student-athletes have been named to the AVCA All-Region Team as announced by the organization today. UNI's Bre Payton and Krista DeGeest were named to the first team, while Missouri State's Carly Thomas and Wichita State's Emily Adney were honorable mention selections.

UNI Falls to Florida in NCAA Second Round
UNI dropped its contest with Florida in the second round of the NCAA Volleyball Tournament on Saturday night in the McLeod Center. Set scores were 25-16, 14-25, 14-25, 22-25. The Panthers end their season with an overall record of 33-2.

UNI Sweeps Niagara to Advance to NCAA Second Round
UNI posted a 3-0 sweep over the Niagara Purple Eagles in the first round of the NCAA Division 1 Volleyball Championship Tournament in the McLeod Center on Friday night. Set scores were 25-16, 25-13, 25-17. The Panthers will host Florida, a 3-1 winner over Missouri, Saturday, Dec. 3, at 7:30 PM.

Bears Downed in NCAA First Round at Pepperdine
Missouri State lost at 18th-ranked and 15th-seeded Pepperdine Thursday night by scores of 25-22, 25-21, 25-16 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Malibu, Calif. The Bears end their season with a seventh NCAA Tournament appearance since 2003, going 22-9 for a 13th consecutive 20-win season.

Shockers Fall to Kansas State in NCAA First Round
Wichita State fell in the first round of the NCAA Division I Volleyball Tournament to Kansas State, 3-0, Thursday at NU Coliseum. The Shockers ended the season with a 21-11 record after advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the fifth-straight season and sixth time overall.
