Illinois State's Glover Wins National Championship in the Javelin
Sophomore Tim Glover joined an elite group of Illinois State student-athletes, as Glover won the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championship in the javelin with a mark of 263-06. The throw earned Glover All-America honors and set school and Missouri Valley Conference records.

MVC Announces State Farm Good Neighbor Award Recipients
In an effort to honor the achievements of exceptional student-athletes, the Missouri Valley Conference, in partnership with State Farm, has created the MVC State Farm Good Neighbor Award. Nine student-athletes have been named by Commissioner Doug Elgin as the honorees for the 2010-2011 spring season.

2011 State Farm MVC Outdoor Track & Field Championship
The Indiana State men and Wichita State women came away with the team championship at the 2011 State Farm MVC Outdoor Track & Field Championship. The Sycamore men won by one point, edging out Southern Illinois, while the Shocker women also beat out SIU by 7.50 points.

Valley Men's Track & Field Ranked 14th Among Conferences
In a statistical analysis done by RunInCollege.com the Missouri Valley Conference took 14th out of the 30 conferences after looking at the first and sixth place performance in every individual event at this year's Division I Outdoor Conference Championship meets. The Big 12 Conference earned top honors followed closely by the Pac-10.

Seven Valley Track & Field Teams Earn Academic Awards from the USTFCCCA
The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced both the men's and women's All-Academic Team honors this week. A total of 151 women's and 73 men's teams were on the list. Southern Illinois led the way with both their men's and women's teams being honored. Five other Valley women's programs also earned the award.

Kylie Huston Named USTFCCCA's Indoor Field Scholar Athlete of the Year
Indiana State's Kylie Hutson has been named USTFCCCA's Indoor Field Scholar Athlete of the Year for the second-consecutive year. Hutson was one of four women to receive the Scholar Athlete of the Year award. Thirty-one Valley student-athletes were also tapped as USTFCCCA All-Academic honorees.
