Missouri Valley Conference Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week

Alen Salibasic, Drake, Fr., Tuzla, Bosnia & Herzegovina

Freshman Alen Salibasic posted a perfect 4-0 mark in helping the No. 70 Bulldogs register a pair of weekend triumphs. Competing at the top singles and doubles slots against Western Illinois, he paired with senior Cesar Bracho to clinch the doubles point with an 8-3.  Later in the day, he sealed Drake's win over Chicago State with a victory at No. 2 singles.  On the season, he owns a 21-9 combined singles/doubles ledger, including an 11-5 mark in singles.

Missouri Valley Conference Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week

Dora Kotsiou, Evansville, Sr., Adelaide, Australia

Aces' senior Dora Kotsiou had a strong week for the Aces, going a perfect 2-0 in both singles and doubles competition at the No. 1 spot this week.  Kotsiou opened up the week with a singles win (6-2, 6-2) win over Alyssa Bellini of Lipscomb while picking up an 8-3 doubles win with partner Natasha James as UE picked up a 6-1 road win.  On Saturday, UE picked up another 6-1 win, this time over UT-Martin.  Kotsiou topped Jodie Tiley at the top spot (6-2, 6-4) while grabbing another doubles win with Natasha James, this one by an 8-4 final.
