Drake and Indiana State took home the hardware at the 2008 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tennis Championships. Drake won its third-straight title and fifth in its history. Indiana State topped Wichita State 4-3 in a matchup that came down to the final set at the No. 1 singles position. Jennifer Migan and Stephanie Dalmacio went head-to-head in a three-set matchup that lasted well over two hours. Migan was triumphant in a thrilling 6-2, 2-6, 7-5 decision and gave Indiana State its first -ever Missouri Valley Conference tennis championship.

Maor Zirkin clinched the title for Drake with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 2 singles. Zirkin teamed with 2008 Player of the Year Dalibor Pavic to blank Wichita State's top team of Tiago Espirito Santos and Matt Teivans 8-0. Bokang Setshogo and Ivan Mendoza earned wins at No. 4 and No. 6 singles, respectively.

Indiana State's matchup was as close as it could have been. Wichita State took the doubles point with wins at the top two positions. The Shockers earned points with wins from Lenore Lazaroiu and Laryssa Ferreira at No. 3 and No. 6. Indiana State swept the top three positions with Sarah MegHoufel and Joanne Schickerling earning points at No. 2 and No. 3, and Migan closing the door with the top-flight win.
