Wichita State is the 2012-13 Missouri Valley Conference all-sports champion. It marks the seventh crown in the past 10 years for Wichita State, which has a league best 19 all-time. WSU finished second in the all-sports trophy race in 2011-12.

Commissioner Doug Elgin has announced a list of dates and sites for the various Missouri Valley Conference sports championships for the 2013-14 athletic season. All site awards are subject to ratification at the Missouri Valley Conference Presidents’ Council meeting, which takes place May 28.

The Drake men’s tennis team has been rewriting its history book all season and it was only fitting that one of the cornerstones of the program in senior James McKie (Edinburgh, Scotland) clinched the Bulldogs’ first-ever NCAA Tournament victory, 4-1, over No. 34 TCU on Friday (May 10).
