Wichita State’s C. Howard Wilkins Complex was the site of the 2005 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Softball Championship. The host Shockers advanced to the title game, but fell 2-0 to two-time defending champion Creighton University. The Bluejays, 44-11, earned the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Softball Championship.
