Wichita State Claims 2012-13 All-Sports Crown
Wichita State is the 2012-13 Missouri Valley Conference all-sports champion. It marks the seventh crown in the past 10 years for Wichita State, which has a league best 19 all-time. WSU finished second in the all-sports trophy race in 2011-12.

McDermott is National Player of the Week
The U.S. Basketball Writers Association has selected Creighton forward Doug McDermott as its Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week for games ending the week of Sunday, Dec. 16. The USBWA's weekly honor is presented by Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook and will be handed out each Tuesday through Feb. 19 this season.

The NCAA has announced today that the Missouri Valley Conference will serve as host for 2014 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship second- and third-round games in St. Louis. The games will be at Scottrade Center on Friday, March 21, and Sunday, March 23, 2014.

The Bluejays, slated as high as No. 10 nationally in pre-season polls, received 398 of a possible 400 points (38 of 40 first-place votes) in a poll of league coaches, sports information directors and media.
