MVC Announces 2011-12 Academic Honors
Sixty-three student-athletes highlight more than 1,500 who earned selection to the 2011-12 Missouri Valley Conference Honor Roll, as announced by the league office. Those 63 student-athletes earned the league’s highest academic achievement by capturing the MVC President’s Council Academic Excellence Award.

Missouri State Earns All-Sports Trophy
Missouri State is the 2011-12 Missouri Valley Conference all-sports champion. It marks the fourth title all-time for MSU, but its first all-sports championship since 2002-03. Missouri State finished second in the all-sports trophy race in 2010-11.

Commissioner Doug Elgin has announced a list of dates and sites for the various Missouri Valley Conference sports championships for the 2012-13 athletic season. All site awards are subject to ratification at the Missouri Valley Conference Presidents’ Council meeting, which takes place June 8.

Creighton Athletics Earns Fifth Straight MVC All-Academic Award
For the seventh time in the nine-year existence of the award, Creighton University has been recognized with the Missouri Valley Conference All-Academic Award. Bluejay student-athletes posted a 3.33 cumulative grade-point average over the 2010-11 academic calendar.
