The Missouri Valley Conference and the Mountain West Conference have announced next season's pairings for the Challenge Series between the two conferences. All 10 MVC Teams To Take Part in ESPN's BracketBusters in 2010
The eighth annual BracketBusters event will feature 11 nationally televised games - on either ESPN2 or ESPNU -- selected from a pool of 98 teams. All 10 Valley schools are in this year's event, which includes seven home games for the MVC.

Panthers Tabbed No. 1 By Blue Ribbon
Blue Ribbon picks UNI to win the Missouri Valley Conference in 2009-10. The Panthers return all five starters from last year's regular-season co-champ and NCAA Tournament participant. Illinois State's Osiris Eldridge was tabbed Player of the Year. The league's pre-season team and poll will be announced in conjunction with Media Day on Oct. 27.

Eldridge Named to Vitale?s All-Rolls Royce Team
NORMAL, Ill. ? Entering his senior season, Osiris Eldridge is expected to receive a lot of preseason accolades prior to the 2009-10 Illinois State basketball campaign. His first came this week when he was named to Dick Vitale's All-Rolls Royce Team which was released on ESPN.com. Eldridge earned honorable mention honors.

Madeira, Mullins Named Emerson Excellence Award Winners
Isabel Madeira and Bryan Mullins of Southern Illinois University have been named 2009 Missouri Valley Conference female and male postgraduate scholarship "Emerson Excellence Award" winners, respectively, commissioner Doug Elgin has announced.
