Weekend Softball Schedule Adjustments

Forecasted inclement weather has forced the alteration of three Missouri Valley Conference softball series.

Southern Illinois at Illinois State

NORMAL, Ill. — Due to the forecast of heavy rain and wintry conditions in the Bloomington-Normal area this weekend, the Illinois State-Southern Illinois Missouri Valley Conference softball series, originally scheduled for a doubleheader Saturday and a single game Sunday, has been rescheduled for a noon doubleheader Monday at Marian Kneer Softball Stadium in Normal, Ill.

Drake at Missouri State

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Rain and sub-freezing weather conditions forecast over the next two days have forced a change to the Missouri State softball team’s weekend schedule. The Bears’ noon doubleheader with Drake on Saturday (March 28) has been postponed.

The Bears and Bulldogs were originally to have played a single game at noon on Sunday (March 29), but as a result of Saturday’s postponement, will now play a 2 p.m. doubleheader Sunday at Killian Softball Stadium.

Indiana State at Bradley

PEORIA, Ill.. – The three-game series between the Indiana State Sycamores and the Bradley Braves in Peoria, Ill., has been rescheduled to next Monday, March 30.

A high probability of rain and even snow on Saturday and Sunday in the Peoria vicinity forced the postponement of the matchup.  Instead of three games, the Sycamores and Braves will only play two games in doubleheader fashion on Monday with first pitch set for 2:00 p.m. EST in Peoria.
