Gotta Be the Shoes?

WSU freshman Josh Werth wore a pair of P.J. Couisnard game-used Nike Shox to Saturday's game.

"They will probably be my game shoes from now on, unless he wants them back," Werth said.

Werth's shoes were stolen, he believes, on Friday while he took part in the Kampout at Koch. He was in his tent outside the arena. He left his shoes, green and silver Nikes, outside his tent. They disappeared.

After practice, Couisnard noticed Werth barefoot.

"I'm like 'you're going to get sick,' " Couisnard said. "I know your feet have got to stay warm, that's what my mom always told me."

Couisnard offered to give him shoes. Werth declined. Couisnard offered again, and went downstairs to his locker and grabbed the black-and-white shoes he wore once or twice last season.

"They weren't raggedy or nothing," Couisnard said. "They're pretty new."
