Ben Jacobson matched his career high with 26 points to help the UNI Panthers to the 2004 State Farm MVC Men's Basketball Tournament title. Jacobson earned MVP honors as UNI edged Southwest Missouri State, 79-74, in double overtime, to claim the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament -- the Panthers' first since 1990.
