Three Women's Basketball Programs Among WBCA Academic Top 25
Drake, Illinois State and UNI were named to the WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls for the 2013-14 season. The Bulldogs were ranked sixth, the Panthers finished seventh, while the Redbirds were ranked ninth. The Valley was the only league to have three teams ranked among the top-10.

The College Swim Coaches Association (CSCAA) has announced their 2014 Spring Scholar All-America Team Awards, recognizing the women’s programs who achieved an average GPA of 3.0 or greater (on a 4.0 scale). All six MVC institutions maintained at least a 3.32.

MVC Tournament Awarded to St. Louis
The Missouri Valley Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament will remain in St. Louis through at least 2018, MVC Commissioner Doug Elgin has announced. The MVC Presidents Council, following a recommendation of the league’s Joint Committee, voted to keep the tournament in St. Louis after considering bids from multiple cities.
