2016 MVC Men's Basketball All-Conference
Egidijus Mockevicus of Evansville leads the nation in rebounding and double-doubles. He's joined on the first-team unit by UE teammate D.J. Balentine -- the nation's active leading scorer .

Seniors dominate this year's Missouri Valley Conference all-league teams, as announced by the conference today. All five first-team selections (and nine of the 10 on the first- or second-team squads) are seniors.

The league will announce its specialty awards this afternoon, including the Larry Bird Trophy recipient, the Defensive Player of the Year, the Newcomer of the Year, the Freshman of the Year, and the Sixth Man of the Year. The league's coaching honor will be announced Thursday in St. Louis at the Coach of the Year luncheon.

The first-team unit features Wichita State teammates who have earned first-team all-MVC honors three-striaght years (Ron Baker and Fred VanVleet), two guards who rank in the Top 25 all-time in league scoring (D.J.
