By the end of next week, the league will have completed its 2012 calendar portion of the non-conference schedule.   Only 24 non-league games remain before Christmas, and the league is an impressive 60-33 so far.  Creighton (10-1) and Wichita State (9-1) sport the MVC's best two records.

  • Illinois State is the only team in the nation with three different players who have scored 30+ points in a game this year.
  • Southern Illinois has 3 road wins already this season.   The Salukis had just 2 road wins last year (2-11 in 2011-12).
  • Bradley can match its 2011-12 win total with a win tonight.   (The Braves are 6-2 and were 7-25 in 2011-12).
  • Creighton (13th coaches, 17 AP) is ranked in the Top 25 poll this week.  The Bluejays are one of just 10 teams nationally with 10+ wins (Creighton is 10-1 this year, including a 4-0 mark against BCS teams).
