Easterling Ends Season at NCAA Championship
Monday, June 6, 2005

Wichita State senior men’s golfer Judd Easterling finished tied for 85th with a 225 (75-73-77), missing the cut at the 108th NCAA Championship Tournament at the par 70, 7,131 yard Caves Valley Golf Club. Easterling, along with the rest of the field, battled temperatures in the low 60s, drizzle and light rain for most of the day. As a result, scores were high and Easterling was no exception. On a day where he had his best performance on the back nine, he had his worst on the front nine.

Easterling had three bogeys and a double-bogey on the front nine which put him at five-over par for the day. He shot two-over par on the back nine which was highlighted by a birdie on the par 5, 585 yard 13th hole. Easterling finished the day at seven-over par and 15-over for the tournament and failed to qualify for the fourth and final round as the field was trimmed to the top 15 teams and top six individuals not on those 15 teams.
