The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced their All-Academic teams last week honoring those programs and student-athletes who have seen success on and off the court.  On the men's side, Creighton and Southern Illinois earned team honors as well as individual honors.  For the women, Creighton, Evansville, Illinois State and Northern Iowa garnered team accolades.  Three of the four schools also had student-athletes on the ITA Scholar-Athlete team.

The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.

Creighton and Southern Illinois were on a list of 14 men's programs recognized by the organization.  This marks the third time in the last four years that the Saluki men's tennis program has been honored as one of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's All-Academic teams. Eleven individuals made the ITA Scholar-Athlete team.

Creighton, Evansville, Illinois State and Northern Iowa were four of 25 teams named to the ITA All-Academic Division I women's list.  Fourteen student-athletes were named to the ITA Scholar-Athlete team.
